Are you providing care in a van or in the home?

We are not a van operation. Amazing Smile arrives with portable equipment to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care within your senior living community, memory care facility or private home.

My loved one cannot get out of bed/wheelchair – can you provide care?

Absolutely. We frequently provide bedside care and care to clients using a wheelchair.

My loved one has Dementia/Alzheimer’s – can you treat him/her?

Yes. We specialize in care for clients with memory care concerns and have specific training to meet these needs. Our affiliated providers are Certified Dementia Practitioners.

Do you accept insurance?

Amazing Smile is not a PPO provider. However, we file claims electronically. Clients are then reimbursed directly by the insurance companies.

How are payments made for services provided?

Payment is made via Zelle, Cash, Check, and all forms of credit/debit card. If paying via card there is a transaction fee.  Payment will be processed as procedures are completed. All procedures require prior authorization.

How do I schedule a first appointment?

Call 510.504.3005 or fill out the Contact form on our Website. Upon scheduling your first visit, Health History Forms will be emailed or texted to you. 

These forms ask a great deal of personal information. How do I know this information will be protected?

Your data is safe and secure with our HIPAA compliant patient management software, as well as our secure hosting site.

Do you practice infection control?

In addition to following all CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines, Amazing Smile employs third-party biological testing for sterilization assurance.  Whenever possible, we use disposable (one-time use) products while providing care. All providers are fully COVID vaccinated. 

What dental services does Amazing Smile provide in a first visit?

A first visit typically includes: Health and Oral history review, dental examination, oral cancer screening, periodontal (gums) evaluation, intraoral and extraoral photographs, treatment plan. Once treatment plan is reviewed and consent has being obtained dental cleaning and any other services can be provided on same day.
